Teresa McCurry, CNHP, graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to establish a medical career in the areas of OB-GYN, Dermatology, and Pediatrics. During this time, Teresa developed a major health crisis encompassing multiple autoimmune diseases. Among the names placed upon her symptoms and blood tests were: Systemic Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Leukopenia. After many painful procedures & surgeries, a myriad of doctors and tests, high powered drugs with many side effects, and suicidal depression from the hopelessness of it all, Teresa turned to the world of Natural Health, Herbology, and Naturopathy to find answers in alternative therapies. Teresa learned that autoimmune disease is physically rooted in a very toxic, over acid, and dehydrated body. With so much cellular confusion, the body begins to consume itself! Teresa also learned that there are spiritual roots to all diseases. For autoimmune disease, the spiritual root is an unloving spirit towards oneself. This produces feelings of not being loved, not being accepted, self-rejection, self-hatred, and self-bitterness coupled with guilt. From a spiritual and emotional perspective, autoimmune diseases are primarily self-hatred diseases with fear, anxiety, and stress attached to them. Teresa discovered that we are integrated on three levels, and that what goes on in our mind, body or spirit, has great influence on the other two. She had problems in all three and had a lot of work to do. But at least she had a new plan and new hope at last!!!! Teresa began to work aggressively on each area. Within a few months, she was enjoying amazing improvements which were also visible to her friends and family. The word spread quickly, and people began to seek her out for information and counsel concerning their own health problems. Not only was Teresa in a massive research campaign for her own health, but now for others as well. As healing began to manifest within Teresa, a great energy emerged with new passion and purpose. Teresa found herself consumed with an intense quest for knowledge in the field of Natural Health. After many courses of study and a host of certifications, Teresa left her career in medicine and began Wellness Coaching and Speaking Engagements full time. Her quest is never-ending and is a continuous work in progress. She is currently working on her Naturopathic Doctor’s degree with a number of other studies waiting in the wings. Christian values are the foundation of Teresa’s life, and she invites Father God to assist her in providing the direction and encouragement for each and every client. Teresa is passionate about health and healing for the mind, body and spirit. She is living proof that it works and is eager to share with all who are truly ready to get well! Hence the name, Passionate Health.
